Take your measurements
Use a soft tape measure over light clothing. Keep the tape flat and level, snug but not tight. If possible, ask someone to help you.
Bust or chest: around the fullest part, with the tape straight across your back. Waist: around the narrowest part of your torso. Hips: around the fullest part, roughly 20 cm below the waist. Shoulders: from one shoulder point to the other, across the back. Length: from the top of the shoulder to the hem for tops, coats and dresses, and from the waist to the hem for skirts and trousers.
Compare with a garment that fits you well
Choose a piece you like, in a similar cut and fabric, and lay it flat. Measure the chest from armpit to armpit, the shoulders from seam to seam and the length from the top of the shoulder to the hem. Compare these figures with the measurements in the product description. A width measured flat is half of the full circumference, so double it before comparing it with your bust measurement.
Reading the size on a product page
Each product page shows the size with international conversions, for example “S / 36 / 8”. When they are available, measurements in centimetres (length, chest, shoulders) are given in the description. Sizes vary between brands, decades and cuts, and the fabric matters too: knitwear stretches, a tailored jacket does not. Rely on the measurements first and on the label second. If you hesitate between two sizes, write to us through the contact page with the name of the piece.

Children's sizes
Children's sizes follow age and height. An age size corresponds to a height in centimetres: 1 to 3 months is 56 cm, 12 to 18 months is 80 cm, 3 years is 98 cm, 6 years is 116 cm, 8 years is 128 cm and 12 years is 152 cm. Children of the same age vary in height, so measure the child standing, without shoes, and choose by height rather than by age. If the height falls between two sizes, the larger one leaves room to grow.
